Staffing Structure
The majority of the childcare will be provided by the Senior Nursery Staff responsible within each of the four Units, supported by Qualified Nursery Nurses and Assistant/Trainee Nursery staff. However parents/carers can approach the Nursery Director/Manager if they wish to discuss any aspect of childcare arrangements at the Nursery. Roles of individual staff are outlined below. Nursery Director Total Responsibility for the implementation of the Philosophy and Aims of Awsworth Schoolhouse Day Nursery. Available for discussion by appointment with parents/carer to discuss any aspect of childcare services provided at the Nursery including formal complaints. Area Manager To support the Nursery director in implementing the philosophy and aims of Awsworth Schoolhouse Day Nursery. Over seeing the running of the nursery. Nursery Manager Responsible for the overall organisation of all Nursery Staff, (Nursery Nurses/Assistants/Students/Ancillary Staff), and for providing a high standard of childcare service to each child at the Nursery. First point of contact for payment of fees, booking of childcare sessions, complaints about childcare services, providing of information/newsletters to parents regarding the Nursery.
Deputy Manager Assisting Nursery Manager to implement policies/procedures for the overall organisation of all Nursery Staff, in order to provide high quality childcare service to the parents and children at Nursery. In absence of Manager – first point of contact for Parents/carers Senior Nursery Nurses Responsible for providing quality childcare to the children in their Units, on a daily basis. First point of contact for parents/carers regarding day to day information about their children. Nursery Nurses Assisting Senior Nursery Nurses within each Unit. Assistant/Trainee Staff Assisting qualified Nursery Nurses within each Unit. Qualified Cook To provide well-balanced, freshly prepared meals.
