Room 1 - The Baby Unit – ( 4 weeks – 22 months approx.)
A bright, cheerful playroom with adjoining sleeping area and nappy changing facilities, where the primary role of the experienced mature staff is to provide an environment for each individual child, that mirrors the loving, caring, feeding and sleeping routines within their homes. The room is divided into two to provide the older children separate space and opportunity to explore their newfound skills of mobility, dexterity and awareness of other individuals - adults and children. The curriculum and activities take into consideration the rapid development of a child's brain during the first 18 months of a child's life, and mainly concentrates on provident multi sensory activities, as all information gathered by this age group is interpreted through their senses. A Daily report book outlining the child's day at the Nursery is provided to all parents / carers, who may visit and / or telephone the Nursery at any time. |
