| | ResponsibilitiesParents/carers will be fully responsible for the behaviour and safety of their own children whilst present in the Nursery during dropping off and picking up times. - Full responsibility will pass onto the Nursery Staff only when the parent/carer has left their child with a Nursery Staff member and is leaving the building.
- Children will only be allowed to leave the Nursery building with the authorised parent/carer. Authorisation may be given to another party by way of a verbal arrangement with the Senior Nursery Staff, or in emergencies, by telephone by the parent/carer. However in all cases identification of some means will be necessary of the other party before release of the child by Nursery Staff.
- The Nursery Staff reserve the right to refuse any person(s) access to any child in Nursery care until confirmation and clarification of identification has been obtained from the parent/carer. This includes close family members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. that have not been named or seen by the Nursery Staff as nominated persons by the parents/carers previously.
- No parent/carer must at any time remove another child, other than their own from the Nursery, except with prior arrangement with the other parent/carer and Senior Nursery Staff.
- The Nursery is open from 7.15 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. The Nursery will be sympathetic to parents in an emergency, however repeated unreported lateness will be charged at a rate of £10.00 every ½ hour to cover staff overtime.
- If a child is not collected as organised by the parent/carer; no notification or the reason for delay in collection has been received, and Nursery Staff are unable to contact any of the child’s named contacts, then we have no alternative other that to ring the local area Social Services to collect the child and leave them in their care.
• Minimums of two Nursery Staff are present at all times at the beginning and end of each Nursery day. - The Nursery operates a NO SMOKING policy within the Nursery building. Staff members are not permitted to smoke on the premises and we ask parents/carers to respect this policy also.
- The Nursery will attempt to work with the parent to ensure that their child is receiving the best possible childcare arrangements at the Nursery. However if it is felt by the Nursery Director that despite all efforts, a breakdown of relationship had occurred between the parent/carer and the Nursery and as such, the Nursery is unable to continue providing childcare services to the child, then the Nursery Director can terminate the childcare agreement/contract with the parent by providing the parent with four weeks notice to allow the parent to organise alternative childcare arrangements.
- PARENTS/CARERS OF CHILDREN MUST ENSURE THAT THEY PROVIDE AND KEEP UP TO DATE, THE NURSERY STAFF WITH AN EMERGENCY CONTACT NUMBER IN THE CASE OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS THAT MAY OCCUR AT THE NURSERY AND THE CHILD NEEDS TO BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE NURSERY PREMISES AS A MATTER OF URGENCY.
